“This is what I’d refer to as my dream shop. I’ve had this in mind for years”
Jerry, a Great Western customer from Fruita, Colorado, took some time to chat with us about his 50 x 60 steel building. He wanted a building for storing his RV and other outdoor adventure toys out of the weather alongside a nice living space. This building is fantastic, because it truly showcases what you can do with a relatively small footprint. All of that may sound like a lot to cram in a 50 x 60 foot building, but Jerry made it look easy!
Jerry is an avid fan of the outdoors. He enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, and RVing. Naturally, as many outdoor folks do over the years, Jerry accumulated a handful of rigs that needed safekeeping.
“I wanted a building for several reasons. The main reason was to park my RV inside and get it out of the weather—another place to store all of my toys. My four-wheelers and stuff,” Jerry told GWB.
He went on to describe that he plans to add a small living area to the front of the shop to truly craft his dream shop/residence combo.
Jerry says he started with the 3D Building Designer on our website and went from there. Working with our team of designers and after some minor tweaking, Jerry pulled the trigger and ordered his dream building.
“The only real frustration I had with the building is just the period of time that it took, and that had to do with when I started the project…I started the building during the pandemic,” said Jerry.
Overall, we’re happy to have been able to resolve Jerry’s frustrations with the timeline and ensure he still got his dream building. We’re happy to have been a part of it!
