Kenny has been featured on both our YouTube channel and our customer projects page twice now. However, this project was his first with GWB. He was on the hunt for a unit for personal use and wound up purchasing a building and owning 10 units that he then could rent out.
“I was looking for a unit and instead of buying a unit, I bought a building. Now I have ten units,” said Kenny.
Kenny says that despite having a contractor lined up to erect the building, plans fell through and he ended up putting it up himself. We’re glad to hear that he found our included erection manual helpful throughout the process!
“I had a company to erect the building, but that didn’t work out so great, unfortunately, but I was able to build the building myself. It had great instructions, it was fairly simple, and I was able to do that,” said Kenny.
Kenny had some very kind words to say about working with us here at GWB, and we’re happy to hear it. From the design process to the erection and finalizing of his building, he seems to have enjoyed the process!
“I felt like it was a great success. They were there when I needed them, they sold me a good product, they were on time, they delivered it without any hiccups, there was no damage…Eric was there when I needed him. He even took time out to drive two and a half hours just to come to see me and make sure I didn’t have any extra questions,” said Kenny.
He told GWB that working with us was more like working with a family than it was a company. Frankly, that is music to our ears!
Both of Kenny’s projects with Great Western have been awesome large-scale commercial projects that genuinely show how versatile a steel building can be. In addition, we feel like Kenny’s story of this building truly reflects how easy-to-erect our buildings are because it was his first time putting a building up, and it came out perfect!
