nthony is a Great Western customer from Sandpoint, Idaho, who had been looking for a metal building to add to his property for quite some time. He planned on erecting the building himself, and after some time spent shopping around, he decided to go with a 38 x 42 building from us here at GWB. He joined us for a video interview and gave us the rundown of his building and the experience working with us!
Anthony is a structural steel inspector, so he’s well familiar with metal buildings. However, he had never erected one himself. He wanted a building to serve as a bit of a man cave and workshop as well as a place to store his fun outdoor toys like UTVs, ATVs, and a bobcat.
He told GWB that he didn’t really have any sort of a required schedule other than wanting the building up before winter came around. So, he took his time in shopping around and decided to go with a custom-designed steel building from GWB to satisfy his exact needs.
Anthony reports that our team here at GWB was quick and easy to work with. He had several kind things to say about our team, and we’re happy he had a great experience!
“I had several quotes from steel companies that relentlessly hounded me. After I got my quote, you guys did not do that and I really appreciated it when I did need a response. I contacted you guys and you were right on top of it and very speedy about getting me an answer,” said Anthony.
He also told us that he erected the building himself with the help of his 78-year-old father entirely from the ground up, including doing the concrete themselves.
Overall, Anthony’s project is a great example of how a steel building can be a great DIY addition to your property. Having extra space for storage and working in is always a plus, and costs can be fairly minimal if you’re willing and able to put in the work Anthony and his father are great examples of that!
