In this interview, GWB joins John, a customer who built an off-the-grid Barndominium far and away from civilization. Certainly, this very type of project is something that many folks dream of. In this interview, John discusses how the project started simple and evolved into something a bit more complex than he had anticipated, but the end result is phenomenal!
Though this isn’t the biggest Barndominium in GWB customer history, it is a great example of how a small building can be made into just about anything with careful planning and execution.
Additionally, one of the most impressive portions of this project is its remarkably remote location. Though we pride ourselves on our buildings being easy to erect for everyone, challenges of location and delivery can add an extreme level of complexity to any construction project. As you can see from the video and photos, this building is in a very remote location. As such, getting the building materials to the location was a challenging process.
Ultimately, the result is the fantasy of many. A private and remote home away from home where John can truly escape from it all.
Overall, Aaron and Claudia’s Barndominium project inspires those looking to do something similar! We’re happy to have been a part of it and look forward to seeing it once it’s complete.
