“Everything went smooth it it…I would highly recommend Great Western”
Carl is a wheat, corn, and milo farmer in rural Kansas. He turned to Great Western when he decided to add a metal storage building for his heavy equipment to his farm. The result is a 60 x 110 foot steel farm building with sliding doors perfectly suited for his uses.
Carl told us that insuring his metal building costs about half as much as it would with a wooden structure. In addition, he chose to go with a steel structure for its resistance to weather conditions and its longevity.
“It lets me get my equipment in out of the weather so it’ll last longer, ” Carl told GWB.
Carl’s building has a bit of a unique feature that you don’t see on many Great Western buildings: a sliding door. He told us he went with the sliding door because they are typically cheaper and it allowed him to allocate more of his budget to the size of the building overall. Ultimately, the bigger footprint allows him to safely store more of his equipment out of the elements.
Carl explains that he priced out a metal building with a handful of different competitors and found the price to be pretty similar. He went with Great Western and reports that his building arrived ahead of schedule and he is very pleased with the result.
“I actually started smaller, but whenever I called Great Western, they gave me these dimensions…I bought bigger than what I wanted and now I’m glad I did!” said Carl.
Overall, Carl says his experience with Great Western Buildings was satisfactory and his building seems to be working quite well for him!
