Steve, a Great Western customer from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, is a “semi-retired” cabinet maker who was looking to add a space to house and store his camper, tools, and virtually anything else. He chose to add on to his property with a steel building from Great Western to make his dream shop become a reality!
Steve explained that he had wanted a steel building from the very start of this project. As you’re probably aware, the climate in Arizona is no joke. So, the benefits of a robust steel building were a must-have for his new structure.
“I wanted steel versus wood…we have 120-degree summers, and the heat just beats wood up,”
said Steve.
He explained that the building serves not only to store things, but to keep them protected as well.
“Know that we can leave and have something under lock and key that’s protected” was a big goal for Steve, and we’re glad to have helped make that happen!
Steve explains that he went with a Great Western building kit for a number of reasons. He erected the building himself and wanted to ensure he was going with a product he was going to be satisfied with for the duration of the erection and his ownership.
“Quality was everything to me and even my own building, it’s not that I can cut corners, because I live with seeing every screw. Everything had to be pre-drilled before I installed all the PBR paneling. I wanted to make sure it lined up on the purlins and the girts. It was painstaking as far as details but the end result to me, I can come out and know that I didn’t cut any corners to get the quality that I wanted,” said Steve.
