“If I ever build another building…I’m calling Great Western because they gave me what I wanted.”
Jim, a Great Western customer from Hayden, Idaho, caught up with us to showcase his custom 70 x 100 foot multi-aircraft hangar. Jim turned to Great Western Buildings for his new Hangar project and we’re happy to have been a part of this beautiful aviation structure
Jim says he considered going a pole-barn route for his aircraft hangar, but decided not to in favor of the longevity of a metal building instead.
“I realized after 20 years a pole barn is absolutely worth nothing. I started researching steel hangar buildings and they increase in value if they’re built correctly. They never lose their value if they’re maintained and taken care of. They’re a quality structure,” Jim told GWB.
Jim was, understandably, very set in what he wanted out of his building. Moreover, he was set in what design features he wanted. We were happy to accommodate!
“I requested the 4:12 pitch. I requested the 50-pound snow load. I requested a bunch of other stuff and they would accommodate me. When I went to the other places, they wouldn’t. They wanted to sell me what they had and they didn’t want to give me what I wanted,” Jim told Great Western.
Jim went on to explain that the team at GWB recommended his Higher Power hydraulic hangar door and that he couldn’t be happier with that choice.
“I got a great price…if I ever build another building…I’m calling Great Western because they gave me what I wanted,” said Jim.
Overall, we’re more than thrilled to hear Jim’s kind words and happy to have been a part of bringing his dream hangar building into reality!
